The tata group will set up a semiconductor manufacturing plant in Assam jagiroad with an investment of 27,000 crore.
Assam chief minister himanta biswa sarma on Wednesday met tata sons emeritus chairman ratan tata and chairman N chandrasekaran in Mumbai and thanked them for setting up the 27,000 crore rupees tata semiconductor facility in Assam.
Ratan Tata is part of the Tata family, a prominent family involved in Indian business and industry.Under his leadership, which spanned from 1991 to 2012, the Tata Group reached new heights and expanded its global footprint. Ratan Tata is credited with the acquisition of several international companies, including Tetley, Corus, and Jaguar Land Rover, which helped transform Tata from a largely India-centric group into a global business conglomerate.
Apart from his business achievements, Ratan Tata is known for his philanthropic efforts.
