Today we celebrating national science day on 28 February to honour the great Indian physicist sir .C.V . Raman
National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28 every year to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman on this day in 1928. For his discovery, Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. The day is celebrated to spread a message about the importance of science used in the daily life of the people, to encourage people by popularizing Science and Technology, and to give an opportunity to the scientific-minded citizens in the country.
Various activities like debates, quiz competitions, exhibitions, lectures, and science model exhibitions in schools and colleges are organized to mark the day and to inspire students and the public towards science and innovation.
